On LionOT we have a system to upgrade your equipment tiers! (aside from the Exaltation Forge).
The 3 tier upgraders
There are 3 tier upgraders which upgrade your equipment's tier, each one better than the last one.
When you upgrade a tier with this shards, it will cost you money depending on the tier and dust, depending on the shard, but it will save you using other item as a sacrifice.
Each shard has it own set of chances, they can successfully add a tier, fail or downgrade the tier of your item.
You can obtain the green and blue tier upgraders killing normal Archfoe Bosses, the purple one right now is event-only.
